Piazza Vittorio Suites

The apartment wasn't the duplex we had booked, and it was dusty, dirty, and musty. The toilet seat was even too small. We spotted black mold in the bedroom, so we booked another hotel right away and left. Then the management of Piazza Vittorio Suites claimed we'd slept there for one night, which was a lie. Scammers. Avoid this place at all costs.

The sofa bed was comfortable, though it could've used some extra pillows. This was a cosy, lovely apartment with a good kitchen, washing machine, and somewhere to hang clothes to dry. Access was easy, even though reception was staffed for only 2 hours during the day.

The flat was clean and well placed, but it's on the top floor and has no air conditioning. The host was rude and threatened to kick us out when we wanted to pay by card. He said he was busy, but expected us to clear our schedules so he could meet us in person.

The grand old piazza is a wonderful location, and the place felt secure. It's stylish too, with lovely lighting, though the cheap clothes hangers and a few things that didn't work let it down. I first stayed here three years ago and really enjoyed it, so I booked again to treat my sister for her special birthday. My niece came for two nights as well, and I paid extra for those nights. I stayed from 15th to 19th April 2022. This time the suite was really dirty. Dust had built up thickly on the lamps and radiators and was everywhere. We couldn't find cutlery, and what little there was was basic and still in the dishwasher. Some cups were dirty too. There was no cutting board or sharp knife, which wasn't great when we wanted to eat in. I paid the next morning and mentioned the cutlery and dirty cups in the dishwasher. Monica took 10 euros off the price. That evening, after eating in the suite, I went to wash the dishes and found the most disgusting sponge I'd ever seen, with hardly any washing-up liquid. I took photos and sent them. The next morning I was promised a 'deep clean'. The cleaning manager came by, agreed the sponge was disgusting, and threw it away. The room was then cleaned well, and they left a bottle of detergent. They apologized a lot. Monica asked me for my IBAN details, which I sent eleven days ago, and I assumed that meant they recognized the stay hadn't been up to scratch. Since then I've heard nothing, not even an acknowledgement of my email. I also asked if I'd left a silk scarf by mistake, but got no reply to that either. They said it wasn't their usual cleaner, and I could almost forgive one bad day, but the silence afterward is poor customer service. I'm so disappointed.
