Hotel Roma E Rocca Cavour

The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was nice. The location was great, too. I was surprised this was rated three stars: we had stayed in a four-star hotel in Milan the previous days, and that one felt more like three stars than this place.

For a reasonable price, this is a pretty good place to stay, with a lovely lobby, a great buffet breakfast and good service throughout. My room was on the small side, though that may just be typical of Italy. The hotel is very close to the train station, and you can walk to upscale shops, museums and restaurants. If street noise bothers you, ask for a room facing away from the main road, or it may wake you. This was my first time staying in an Italian hotel, so I may not be the best judge.

The location is great and, overall, it's a good hotel. There wasn't a kettle in the room, and they charge if you want one there. They also take your credit card details just in case.

I booked a room at short notice in Turin and the hotel turned out much better than I'd expected. The staff were caring and helped with everything, including some extra things they could easily have charged me for. They also refunded a day I'd paid for by mistake and helped me work out room availability. People here work hard to look after guests, so please don't take a bad day out on them. The location is right in the heart of the city, and the price is good for such a sought-after spot. I booked two different rooms, and both were cleaned very well, including the floors, glasses and beds. The cleaning team deserves credit. The building has the feel of a classic old-style Italian hotel, with an amazing lounge. The rooms are well kept and thoughtfully adapted for modern needs. I also liked the reminders around the hotel about saving paper, cloth, bottles and water, and helping the environment, even when some people might think that paying means they don't need to care.
