Casa Stucky has become our preferred place to stay when we visit Friuli. We’ve been many times, and the hospitality and value are a big part of why we return. Patrizia knows the region well and can point you toward events, attractions, museums, and exhibitions. She brings fresh pastries and fruit tarts each morning, often using local fruit, and makes her own marmalades and jams. The kitchens have plenty of breakfast choices, and you can use the fridge or make tea and coffee whenever you like. The rooms are spacious, contemporary, and well furnished. Ceramic art by Patrizia fills the house and common areas, and the gardens are lush with flowers and plants. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the historic center, which we prefer to driving and parking there. Since it’s outside the center, parking on the street in front is simple. The B&B is behind a secure gate, and you have a key to come and go at any time. It’s near the train station, and its position on the edge of town makes it quick to reach the autostrada or regional roads for Cividale, Cormons, Spilimbergo, or even Trieste, about an hour away by car. Patrizia makes you feel welcome and well cared for. It’s a real value, both for the accommodation and the hospitality.

We visited again in 2024 and the service was still at the same high level. Back in 2019, Alberto was an excellent host. The house is lovely, with beautiful ceramics made by Alberto’s mother, and the rooms are stylishly decorated. Wi-Fi worked well, the garden was well kept, and breakfast was great. It’s close to the railway station, with some good local restaurants nearby. Try Osteria 51!

Patricia was the highlight of the stay, such a friendly, warm person. The building has the feel of a classical Italian villa, while the rooms are modern and equipped well enough, with WLAN and a good homemade breakfast. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed in a while. I’ll definitely come back if I’m in this region.

The rooms were immaculate, and the gardens beautiful. Even though we arrived late because of traffic, the host was gracious and gave us lots of tips on where to go. They speak limited English, but enough to get you checked in. The breakfast costs 5€ and is a very nice spread for the price, with eggs, yogurt, breads, and spreads.

Such a charming, welcoming place, and the homemade marmalades are something I won’t forget. The room was clean and comfortable, and the garden looked beautiful even in March. Thank you, Patricia. We’ll come back one day.
