Hotel Principe

I loved the mattress in room 404. I slept deeply and woke up rested. The superior rooms are nice, though a little sterile and almost like hospital rooms. The location is convenient if you're travelling by bus or train, since both stations are right next to the hotel. We came by car and appreciated the covered, enclosed parking. Without needing that, we'd have preferred somewhere closer to the city center.

The staff are fantastic, friendly, helpful, and efficient. The hotel is clean and solid, close to the station, and excellent value for money. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well, too. It's not pretending to be five-star, but the service deserves five stars. For a clean, honest, well-priced hotel in town, this is a great choice. I've stayed in plenty of four- and five-star places that could learn from this team's customer service. I'd definitely stay again.

A horrible experience, the worst nightmare I've ever had. The staff were extremely unprofessional, and everything about the stay was terrible.

The outside doesn't make much of an impression, but inside it's nice and clean, with modern rooms and friendly, welcoming staff. It's a three-star hotel, yet it exceeded my expectations, so I gave it four stars. The price is fair, too. Its biggest plus is the location, about 100 m from Udine train station, which is great if you're travelling with luggage. The old city is around an eight-minute walk away. I can recommend it.
