There’s a lot of history and potential in the building, but it feels poorly looked after. The bathrooms are below standard, with drainage problems and rust on the handles and radiators. It has the air of faded former grandeur.

Giovanni Tasco really makes the stay: he’s welcoming, easy to reach, and full of useful suggestions for places to see and good restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, and 100 Craste is well placed for exploring Salento, close to lovely beaches and towns. We felt very well looked after. Stay here in Ugento, you won’t regret it.

We’ve spent summers in Salento regularly and plan to come back to this property in the years ahead. The place had everything we wanted, from excellent location and spotless rooms to the thoughtful hospitality that matters so much. Giovanni was lovely and went out of his way to help, with tips for excursions, sights, clubs, and restaurants. We followed his advice and were very happy with it. A 10 out of 10.

Mr. Giovanni was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The B&B itself is an 18th-century building in Ugento’s historic center, carefully maintained down to the details and very comfortable. The sea is about 6 km away, with beach clubs and public beaches where the water is crystal clear. We’d return when we get the chance.

We felt really looked after in a room that had the feel of a castle. The welcome was both professional and warm, and there were coffee, fruit juices, mineral and still water, and snacks. I highly recommend it 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
