The yard is pleasant, parking is spacious, and the pool has a lovely view of Etna. It’s quiet, good for a restful stay, and only a 30-minute drive to Etna. The hostess was responsive, and the apartment room was large. The outside is appealing, though some simple changes indoors would make daily life easier for tourists. The kitchen felt like it had been stocked with random things from someone’s home. The old pans had handles coming off, there were pots and useless mugs, and not one knife would cut. The dishes were old, and there was no cutting board. It would be better to provide a plate, glass, bowl, mug, and cutlery for each guest, plus salt, sugar, oil, tea, and coffee. Those small things don’t cost much but would be nice. There’s a coffee machine, but it wasn’t clear which capsules fit it. A washing machine would be a bonus, and at least a broom and dustpan would help with sweeping. The pillows and bed linen were old, with holes and stuffing coming out. We were told replacement pillows would be brought, but they never arrived.

There’s a general store and restaurants very close by. Zafferana Etnea is just a stone’s throw away, and Mount Etna views are spectacular. With its good-sized pool, it suits families, but friends looking for a peaceful, relaxing place would enjoy it too.

While looking online for somewhere to gather with friends from around Sicily for a pre-Christmas celebration, I found this fantastic property. The hosts were kind and knowledgeable, and the villa was comfortable throughout, with all the comforts we needed and a garden with a barbecue. There were 18 beds. We enjoyed our time and the warm welcome so much that I’ve booked again for the end of February. I highly recommend it.

The pool is so good it’s hard to get the kids out to explore! The hosts are friendly, the place is well located with views of Mount Etna, and it makes a great base for Catania, Taormina, Savoca, and Syracuse. It’s only a few kilometers to the parking lot for Mount Etna. Highly recommended.

Martina gave us such a warm welcome and was incredibly helpful when the fires made our return difficult. A big thank you to her. The apartment is lovely and new, very quiet, with a pool and a beautiful view of Mount Etna. Isabelle and Gérard
