We stayed in the apartment section during the last week of September 2018, the final week of the season. Even then, all the facilities were fully staffed, from the restaurant, bar, and pool to the porters, groundskeepers, shuttle drivers, and beach facilities. The staff treated us as enthusiastically as if it were the first week. The resort is a few blocks’ walk from Lido Marini’s main street and beachfront. My wife loved cooking in the European-style kitchen. It may seem small to many Americans, but it worked well for our Italian vacation. A rental car would be useful for visiting nearby towns. We were impressed with everyone, especially Francesca, one of the receptionists. She spoke excellent English and helped us in many ways to make our stay outstanding.

The only good points were the friendly staff and free WiFi in reception. The self-catering timeshare apartment was pretty bad. Our double room had two single beds that didn’t work as a double: the mattresses were thin and uncomfortable, and the beds wouldn’t stay together. The bathroom was tiny, with a minuscule shower where I kept hitting the mixer tap and getting sudden changes in water temperature. If you’re taking the train to the resort, arrange a transfer or taxi from Ugento or Presicce, as there are no taxis outside the stations.

We went in 2006 and liked it. It took three days to get to our destination, and we arrived with only the last three days of the season left! 😅

The location and service were good, but the room didn’t meet my expectations. It seems ideal for families with children.
