Hotel Salento MirFran

This family-run hotel felt warm and homey, and everything was still top quality. The family clearly takes pride in keeping the rooms spotless and well cared for, down to the little details. Everyone was welcoming and went out of their way to make sure things were right. I had a wonderful stay from beginning to end and couldn't have asked for better. Highly recommend!

The room was spacious and kept tidy, with a large bathroom and a magnificent sea view. Breakfast was generous, with lots of homemade cakes and a superb Italian-style cappuccino. We also got a warm, professional welcome, prompt service, and attentive staff who gave us great restaurant tips. The storefront looked magnificent, decorated with cacti and plants. We recommend the place without hesitation. I was disappointed by the website photos, though. The umbrellas in them made me think I'd have a beach view, but the hotel is actually on a street, and the sea can only be seen from the room. There are rocks rather than a beach, so you have to drive to reach a sandy one, though it is certainly beautiful. I also chose the hotel because it showed catering, hoping to avoid driving in the evenings after long days exploring the area, but that service wasn't available during our stay.

It's a short walk to the center of Torre San Giovanni, and only about 30 seconds to the sea. The hotel was good value, with a modern building and clean, spacious rooms. Having a private beach was very convenient. There was no private parking, but we always found a space on the street out front. Breakfast was plentiful. Dinner had only a few dessert options, but the ones on offer were very good. I love seafood and enjoyed the food, and the meat dishes were delicious too. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Courtesy and kindness were a real hallmark of this lovely, clean hotel. Almost all the rooms have a sea view. Special thanks to Francesco, Giuseppe, and Michel, who were wonderful. We'll definitely return.
