Nothing was explained to us, and the workers spoke neither English nor German. We didn't feel welcome. At breakfast and elsewhere, the staff seemed angry that they had to work. The facilities were in poor shape. The toilet leaked and dripped all night, and the air conditioning was so loud we couldn't sleep with it on. The lift had missing buttons, and the broken room door wouldn't open all the way. The hotel's online appearance doesn't match what it's actually like. In any other normally developed Western country, this place would get two stars. The car park looked like a horror film set, with overgrown loose power cables and broken buttons I was afraid to press in case I got electrocuted. The swimming pool had more missing tiles than tiles.

The room and hotel were a bit rundown, especially the bathroom. But the location and the view from our room more than made up for that. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, particularly at reception.
