We had a wonderful few days here and would definitely come back. The food was excellent, and the whole place was spotless. From the restaurant, the sea stretches out to the horizon and makes you feel like you're on a cruise. Everyone was kind and ready to help, from Raffaele to the lobby, reception, and restaurant teams. Miriam at the bar was especially friendly and helpful.

The food was good, and the pastry chef was very talented, though items sometimes ran out and we had to settle for a croissant or chocolate cake. We also had to hurry to get what was available before it was gone, since they would offer something else once supplies ran out. What disappointed me most was the service and the missing facilities. There was no pool or spa, no entertainment beyond some piano bar, and the beach bathrooms were awful and dirty. The dining room had too few inexperienced staff, with people running around without organization, and the vending machines leaked. I saw none of the services mentioned in the advertisement. The employees, including the overworked housekeeping team, maintenance workers, and others, were always smiling and tried hard to fix problems. They deserve credit, but the responsibility lies with senior management. Despite months of bookings and full rooms, the hotel opened a few days early with no services in place. It felt like the basics of hospitality were missing, and there was no distinction between different kinds of guests, though the operation seemed unprofessional. On paper, Isola di Pazze hotel resort is four stars; from what I experienced, it felt like two. I usually choose four or five star places and never go below three, and after years of traveling I tend to notice these things, but the problems were obvious. I feel bad that I persuaded friends from Sicily to come, only for them to find something so different from what they expected. Would I return? No, unless the property offers a good discount to everyone who stayed and didn't get the services that should have been available. I'm sorry this is so long, but other guests deserve to know.
