The natural pool was a highlight for us, with comfortable loungers, parasols and shady spots nearby. The whole property is cared for with real attention to detail, from the flowers and plants to the fruit, vegetables and little decorations. Yvonne and her husband also make products for guests to enjoy and take home, which says a lot about the care they put into the masseria. Our accommodation was spotless, well kept and equipped for everyday needs. It was comfortable without losing the feel of rural Apulian life, and the location made it easy to head out for day trips, the seaside or a quick shop in town. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, even though we were late. Yvonne is warm, attentive and ready to listen. Her and her husband's personal touch has turned the property into a peaceful, reassuring place to stay, and their hospitality exceeded the high expectations we already had when booking. Masseria Gianferrante is somewhere you can set aside everyday life and enjoy the beauty of this part of the world. Our week there felt like a gift, full of calm, warmth and good moments. We'd happily return to a place made special by the people who care for it.

Yvonne made us feel so welcome. We spent our days exploring Salento and ended them with an aperitif beside the pool at sunset. A dream spot for a holiday, and we'd be glad to come back again and again.

You can get a feel for the land here through the Masseria's walls, the scents and tastes from the garden and orchards, and even the sound of the wind. Yvonne and Antonio are lovely, and the sea is just a short walk away, with both beach and rocky shore to choose from. The inland villages nearby are full of pleasant surprises when it comes to eating out. It's such a beautiful place that I'd put it this way: come as a guest, not just as a tourist.

The garden is full of flowers and lovely scents, and there's a vegetable patch with wholesome produce guests can use. Each apartment has artwork, and the rooms are clean and looked after. Yvonne and Antonio keep things simple and make you feel at home, just what you'd hope for in a true Masseria. My son got over his fear of dogs thanks to Frisa and Nina, two adorable dogs. We had a wonderful stay and will certainly be back. There's so much to see and do in Salento, and this is a lovely place to stay while exploring it.
