Palazzo Ricordi

We spent four days in an economy room that was small, but clean and perfectly adequate. Breakfast was delicious, and we could park our car on site. The place has a lot of history, which fits its name, "Palazzo Ricordi," and plenty of memories from its owner, Ugo. He’s a wonderful person, always helpful and incredibly kind. I’d recommend staying here, especially if you want to hear about Ugo’s remarkable history, culture and love of art.

This property has the potential to be beautiful, but it needs proper upkeep. I stayed in August 2021, when neither the restaurant nor breakfast was available. The economy room’s bathroom was cramped, with no bidet, window or exhaust fan, and the cleanliness was poor. Towels were replaced and the room cleaned only on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Art, warm hospitality and high-standard food that went beyond even the highest expectations. A temple, though it won’t be for everyone.

I came to Palazzo Ricordi for a piano concert and was taken with its charm. The place sits in a magical garden, quiet and peaceful, with history and tradition reflected in its paintings and rooms. Birds woke me in the morning, followed by a delicious breakfast with homemade jam prepared by the owner, Mr. Ugo. He’s a very kind and special person, a poet, musician and chef, and his wife is lovely too. The world’s most beautiful beaches are close by, and I was able to visit them easily. I’d highly recommend PALAZZO RICORDI to anyone hoping for more than an ordinary holiday, somewhere to recharge body and spirit.
