Some evenings I was so happy just sitting on the monastery loggia or by the swimming pool, thinking how lucky I was to have found this place. My stay at La Preghiera was wonderful, with beautiful rooms, spectacular views, and gorgeous grounds. It's secluded, yet centrally located, and the staff made me feel warmly welcomed throughout an unforgettable holiday. John, Liliana & Giulia were helpful without ever being intrusive. They were always glad to help book restaurants or suggest things to do. It's also a great base for the historic towns nearby: Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia, and Siena. With Giulia's help I even managed to fit in Rome. I'm looking forward to returning next summer.
