We visited other towns nearby, and Urbania itself was a delight, full of friendly people. Our daughter had been there for about five weeks with the opera company Fiomondo, which runs a program there each year. She showed us around and introduced us to the lovely residents. The drive from Florence was also unforgettable, winding through mountain roads and hills, with beautiful views and towns dating back to ancient Roman times. My wife and I spent a lovely week here in July of 2024. Country House Parco Ducale was beautiful, and Daniela and Roberto were gracious hosts who went out of their way to make our stay one of the best parts of our time in Italy. Daniela even arranged breakfast before the usual time on a couple of mornings when we had early plans. They always checked that we were comfortable and asked if we needed anything. I've never been treated so well in a house like this. It was a magical experience, and I'd urge anyone visiting Urbania to stay with Daniela and Roberto at Country House Parco Ducale. Sorry I didn't post this sooner. Grazie per aver reso il nostro soggiorno cosi memorabile.

The garden and pool were both excellent, and the building has a lovely feel to it. I did miss having a bbq in the garden. The rooms are okay for the price, but the kitchen isn't set up for proper cooking and the beds, in my opinion, need replacing. Daily room cleaning was a nice extra.

It feels like being in the countryside while still very close to town. The rooms are spacious and clean, the welcome was friendly, and the price was reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it.
