Casa Cecconi (On The Hills Of Florence)

The garden was one of our favorite parts, full of flowers and color, with a romantic swing and a huge horse chestnut tree giving lovely shade. There’s also a barbecue and a summer pool. We spent three weeks here in July and felt completely at home. The Cecconi family were so loving and welcoming, and getting to know them was worth the whole vacation. The apartment is beautiful, fresh, and kept in meticulous condition. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen gets soft light through a window above the sink, and the bathroom has softly colored tiles and a bathtub. The living room’s large fireplace adds to the homely feel. From the house, we enjoyed the hills and beautiful sunsets, followed by clear sunrises. From the kitchen window, you can see dusty pink hydrangeas and the old fir trees on the way up to Montesenario. My daughter and I left reluctantly and really hope to return soon.

The owners went out of their way for us on the Via degli Déi. We were exhausted, and they picked us up in San Piero a Sieve and took us straight to the B&B. We had the whole apartment to ourselves, plus a welcome dessert and an offer of limoncello cream. It’s a spectacular place tucked into the green Tuscan hills. Highly recommended, and the best accommodation we found on the Via degli Déi.

When it started getting dark and we wouldn’t have made it in time, the owners came and picked us up by car along the Via degli Dei. They also gave us a chance to do some grocery shopping. We had a whole apartment to ourselves, with access to the garden. They were incredibly kind, and the cake and limoncello were a lovely touch. I’d recommend this place to anyone :)

We spent a night in this lovely, spacious house while hiking the Via degli Dei with two close friends. Bivigliano is about 2 km off the trail, but it’s worth the stop. The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind.
