Gabriella was so helpful with everything, even picking me up when I’d gone too far ahead and taking me back to the trail the next morning. The large outdoor area is great for relaxing. Inside, it’s a welcoming, spacious house with a spectacular, unusual room and a spotlessly clean bathroom with everything needed for a good shower. Breakfast had plenty of tasty options to set me up for the last stage. Thanks so much for making a tiring day much easier. Gabriela is a wonderful example of hospitality.

We picked this place so we could take a detour to visit Pratolino Park, and were delighted with our choice. At the end of the fifth Via degli Dei stage, the view of Fiesole and the Duomo dome was hard to beat. Our double room was very large and clean, and the hostess was kind and helpful with our requests.

The owner was so kind and helpful, and we had a wonderful two-night stay. The apartment is delightful. Highly recommended!

Casa Macie is a renovated farmhouse with lovely views of Fiesole and Florence. We stayed there while walking the Via degli Dei. It’s a self-contained apartment with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and the basic amenities. It seems better suited to a longer stay in the countryside, where you can manage independently. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend it as a Camino stopover since there are no supermarkets, bars, or restaurants nearby. Breakfast was very basic: toast, jam, and packaged snacks, with only milk and coffee to drink. There’s no sandwich service for the Camino.
