Hotel Mae'

Zoldo is a charming, lesser-known resort in the Dolomites, and the hotel made for a really relaxing holiday. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and the service felt personal. Our room was comfortable, and the food was plentiful and very high quality.

We walked from the hotel to Rifugio Staulanza, then reached the Alta Via 1 using the trail between Rifugio Venezia and Rif. Staulanza. To get to it, we continued uphill from the village of Coi, a short walk up the road where the hotel is. It worked well as a place to stay before starting that section of the route. The hotel was comfortable and the meals were exceptional. Elisabetta answered our questions before and during the stay, helped arrange a taxi, and stored our luggage. We’d definitely stay again.

The setting is quiet and beautiful, with mountain views right outside, and it’s well placed for nearby trails, lakes, and scenic spots. We were there for seven days with our two little kids, aged 2 and 3, and found it very child-friendly. The family’s care was clear in the way the rooms were prepared and how they treated guests. The hotel was spotless, and every meal was delicious. Elisabetta was kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. We’re a young family from Munich, and this was one of our most memorable stays. We’d happily return to Hotel Panorama Mae in Val di Zoldo, and recommend Panorama Mae to anyone looking for a cozy family stay without the crowds or crazy prices in the Dolomites. In June 2025, my boyfriend and I stayed for two nights. The manager and owner gave excellent service, and the food, location, and service were all incredible. Can’t recommend it enough.
