The price was wildly out of line with what we got. Some of the highest prices in the area, but low-quality facilities and service. On arrival, you're greeted by a tacky second-hand market with price tags everywhere. The owner's only comment about the hotel was that guests mustn't take food away from the mediocre breakfast buffet. Our room wasn't very clean, there were no toiletries, and it smelled of cow poop the whole time. Dinner dishes and drinks, which aren't included, were unbelievably expensive, sometimes costing more than a Michelin-star restaurant on top of the mountain. Prices weren't always shown either. The garden was decent, but hard to get to and very dirty. The owner rudely spoke to our children for playing in the backroom closet they call a 'play room'. At breakfast, we could also hear him yelling at his own child. Stay as far away as possible, this felt like a total rip off.

Our room was very spacious, spotless and had a comfortable bed. We didn't get a chance to try breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of a genuine South Tyrol town with lots of services and stores, and it's well placed for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

We came with family for a skiing holiday and had a fantastic stay. The rooms aren't very big, but everything was perfectly clean. The staff were very nice, and the food was fantastic. We looked forward to each dinner, with an amazing 5 course menu every night. The skibus stop right in front of the hotel was very convenient.

After skiing, there was plenty to do without going out: the spa, bar and games kept us busy. Our room was clean, spacious and quiet, with very good internet. We had half board, and the food was delicious with different choices each day. On the Austrian theme dinner, the dishes were meat-based, but they remembered that I don't eat meat and prepared something just for me. I was pleasantly surprised and very grateful. Our week at hotel Kronplatz was fantastic. It's family-run, and you can feel that in the warm, cozy atmosphere. The people running it are simply amazing and put so much care into the place, the food and the facilities. It really felt like home. It was a pleasure to stay, and we'll be back!

Even though we missed dinner time because my daughter was asleep, the host still found her something to eat. A wonderful place, and a very friendly host.
