A note about the location: this is not in Ampezzo/Belluno. I booked through CapitalOne, but there’s a major issue with the address C.O. gives and trying to get directions through Apple Maps. We thought the hotel was two hours from Venice, drove there, and ended up at an old, run-down farmhouse. Calling the hotel and getting an address with a different zip code sent us on another two-hour drive into the mountains. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but be careful about the location. We went in the off season in late November, so there wasn’t much to do beyond lying in bed and looking out at the incredible snow-covered Alps through the wraparound view in the Dream Suite. That was what we wanted to do anyway. The views alone would have been enough, but the hotel also gave us a wonderful dinner experience. The maître d', Haron and the mystery chef served two incredible dinners in a row, as well as breakfasts. Those meals were included in the stay and would have been worth paying for on their own. An incredible experience.

We were here for three nights and had a really good time. The surroundings are beautiful, but what stood out most was the staff. They were kind, helpful, enthusiastic, and kept trying to work things out with us. Really extraordinary.

The food was outstanding, with tasty local dishes, and the service was very friendly. This is a first-class wellness hotel in beautiful Ahrntal, with easy access to alpine skiing near Kronplatz, sledding, ski hikes to well-known peaks, and cross-country skiing.

It felt a bit overpriced for the service. The spa and sauna shut at 19.00, so there’s no chance to relax there after dinner.
