The adults-only spa was a real draw, with its peaceful feel and range of treatments, and the building and decor are gorgeous. The pool, though, feels too small for the number of guests. I can only imagine how packed it must get in peak season, which is a shame because it’s such a lovely space. Food was mixed for us. The buffet repeated the same dishes, and some of the set menus didn’t impress. The kids club is there, but there wasn’t much to keep children occupied. For a hotel that seems aimed at families, that was disappointing. We had a wonderful stay in many ways, but couples or adults looking for a relaxing break may enjoy it more than families. More room at the pool and better dining variety would make a big difference.

I booked massages and body scrubs for my boyfriend and me, hoping for a relaxing break during a busy vacation. I arrived an hour early to use the pool and sauna before our treatments, then found out those facilities were only open to hotel guests. If spa visitors aren't allowed in, I wish they'd made that clear when I booked. I spent nearly as much on the treatments as a room would have cost. There was no receptionist to check me in or out. After my massage, they wouldn’t let me rinse off, even though they’d put on a mask that needed washing away, and nobody offered us water. Without the pool or sauna as part of the spa visit, it wasn’t worth what I paid. I don’t think it would be worth it even for a hotel guest.

We only stayed two nights and didn’t get to try the beauty center or spa. We were told it was fully booked, though that seemed odd with so few guests around, and I wasn’t sure it was true. The hotel itself was amazing, with great service and dining, especially on the full-board option.

Our child loved the kidsclub, even though it was tucked away a bit. The staff also took the children out to play at the village water playground, and they had dinner with the kids at the restaurant so parents could enjoy an evening together. We really appreciated that. The room was amazing, and we loved the spa and rooftop pool too. Food and service were first class. We had such a good stay, I can’t think of a flaw.

This was our second winter holiday here, and the high standard was just as good as the first time. The facilities are very complete and high quality, the food was amazing with different upscale meals every day, and the pool and sauna were wonderful. Most of the staff were lovely and friendly. A couple of things felt out of place. The old-style hair dryer seemed cheap beside everything else, and left both my hair and my daughter's very dry and frizzy. Also, one German-speaking lady at the SPA reception gave me a very cold, strange kind of service. Maybe it was just an exception, but at a hotel with such high expectations, it stood out. It’s only my personal experience, and I still love the hotel and recommend it. So many kind people work hard here. I hope to see you again soon.
