Villa Sergio Valledoria

There were 11 of us, and we had a pleasant, fun stay in a lovely, spacious house. The beach was beautiful and just 5 minutes away, there were plenty of pizzerias nearby, and the main town was a 5-minute drive. We visited in the first week of June, just after Italy reopened following the pandemic. We were visiting from the US, had been to Italy four times before, and this was our second trip to Sardinia. We usually stay in hotels when we're in Europe, so living in this rustic European home felt like an exciting adventure, almost like staying in a historic house. Keeping track of recycling was an interesting part of the experience, and the neighbors were very nice. There were seven bedrooms, four downstairs and three upstairs. All had their own bathrooms, with gathering areas on both levels. The house also had a large kitchen, plus a wood-burning oven, sink, and countertop outside the dining room. Some website photos may be older. There were no mosquito nets or hammock. Some appliances took getting used to. The kitchen stove and oven were extremely hard to turn on, though we managed. We couldn't run the dishwasher and washing machine at the same time, and the dishwasher washed one rack at a time. The water heater would switch off, so we had to keep an eye on it and reset it. The pool was a good size, but eucalyptus leaves kept covering it and it needed constant cleaning.
