The location is out on the edge of the city, but nearby restaurants and shops are still walkable. For a quiet business trip, Holiday Inn Express Reggio Emilia could be a good fit, though a place nearer the center might work better if you want to get around the city efficiently. I spent a week here for work. The room was clean and well maintained, and the food was decent, with a menu that wasn’t huge but wasn’t too limited either. One disappointment was that towels and other laundry were changed only every 3 to 4 days, even though I was charged for each night. The air conditioning was completely off. I understand this was due to local rules managed by the city of Reggio Emilia, but when I asked, staff suggested opening the window, which may not suit everyone depending on the weather.

The room was comfortable and breakfast was pretty good. Our main letdown was that there wasn’t a fridge. Getting there with luggage means taking a bus from the train station or walking for 30 minutes, though the bus stop is very close. The WiFi in our first room was terrible, but they moved us to a room with a better connection.

There are plenty of places to eat nearby and a large shopping center. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. It seems to serve mostly people traveling for work rather than tourists. The hotel is clean and comfortable, but around a 30-minute walk from the city center. A bus between the Centre-Ville and AV railway station stops right outside, and fares are about 1 euro.

A handy stop on a road trip, with parking onsite and quick motorway access. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with the amenities you’d expect from an express-style hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient.

There’s no fridge in the rooms and no bathroom extras, but each room has a kettle with tea and coffee, and there’s loads of parking. Basic, but clean.
