The lakefront setting is lovely, especially the stunning views from the quiet part of the shore. Our room was new and well equipped, and the staff were friendly while checking us in and showing us around the area.

We had a fantastic dinner at Baia di Paré. The food was beautifully prepared, tasted incredible, and the quality and service were both outstanding. Chatting with Silvio about Rolex watches was a lovely part of the evening too. We’d happily return for dinner if we’re back in Valmadrera, and I’d recommend giving it a try. Bravo to Silvio and the team at Baia di Paré.
The hosts were so attentive and welcoming, and the rooms were spotless. Baia di Parè has a fresh, modern renovation and a cozy boutique feel. Breakfast was delicious, with hot choices and even an omelet in the morning, which is rare in Italy. There’s also an excellent fish restaurant right downstairs, honestly one of the best on Lake Como. Highly recommended.
The staff were warm, helpful people, and the restaurant food and drinks were fresh and tasty. The rooms were clean with a nice modern bathroom. Breakfast was the one weak point for me: I’m not sure what it was, but the butter didn’t seem like butter and had a strange smell. I noticed it with the cheese and tarts too. They do offer fresh orange juice and eggs, though. The location was okay, but the train station is about a 20-minute walk, so I’d suggest getting around by ferry. I’d still recommend it.
A comfortable bed, nice staff and a good breakfast. It’s a handy place to stay if you’re planning to visit Varenna, Bellagio, and Como.
