Hotel Villa Giulia

The rooms are clean and nice, though maybe a bit small. They’re spacious enough to have large balconies with stunning lake views, perfect for a morning coffee. The staff are professional, attentive, respectful, and kind. Breakfast is excellent, as other reviews have said, and dinner at the restaurant is great too. The food and service really set this place apart. We’d definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning.

The location is perfect and the food was okay, but the service was terrible. The waiter wouldn’t help me choose a local wine and got impatient while we took time to look through the list. The main course arrived just a minute after the appetizers, so we had to send it back. We were also charged double for the grappa we ordered. I noticed it on the invoice and complained the next morning, but never got a reply. This restaurant shouldn’t be a Michelin suggestion. It really didn’t feel customer friendly if you’re not a hotel guest.

The terrace at Ristorante Al Terrazzo has breathtaking views and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and attentive, and the menu brings together traditional and modern flavors, with fresh seafood, homemade pasta, and delicious desserts. Everything is made with fine ingredients, and the dining experience is outstanding. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just coming to eat, Hotel Villa Giulia & Ristorante Al Terrazzo is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great hospitality and exceptional food. Highly recommended for a memorable meal.

We were there off season with our 7-month-old baby boy and loved it. The family running the place, the restaurant, and the hotel itself were tremendous. It has a huge, lovely terrace and a Michelin 1 star restaurant. The room we had was very standard, with only a side view of Lake Como. I’d recommend the place and would return if we go back to Lake Como.
