There was no privacy at all in our connecting room. Through the inside door we could hear people watching TV loudly and going about their private business from 9:30 PM until 1:30 AM and later, and the sound insulation was basically nonexistent. The room itself was in terrible shape: it smelled bad and was dirty, with grime on the floor, a dirty toilet, stained bedding with hair on it, and a similarly dirty armchair. The mini kitchenette looked used and hadn’t been cleaned. The showerhead barely put out water and sprayed badly, and the paint was peeling off the walls. It was a miserable night, and luckily we only stayed one.

The duvet had blood spots on it, which was the worst part of the stay. We paid €90 for a service that felt worth maybe €5. We were given a connecting room with only a door between us and the other guests, so neither side had any privacy. We heard every conversation and noise, and they had a small dog too. The dog wasn’t at fault, but the hotel shouldn’t have put them in a connecting room where they could disturb others. RIBES ROOM.

The rooms smelled of gas, weren’t very clean, and had no hot water. It was a terrible, unpleasant stay and very expensive for what you get. I don’t recommend it at all. Getting booked was difficult because of the online payment, and communication with the host was unclear. Digital check-in also ran into a technical problem with the key box. I called the lady, who was initially unhelpful and unfriendly, but she eventually came by late to sort it out.

The self-service check-in was great, and for one night I’d recommend this clean, nice guesthouse for the price. It was a bit noisy from the drain grate and the scales when cars passed by. A few small things could be added, like blankets for anyone who gets cold and maybe a bidet. If those details were sorted out, I think it would be just as good as a hotel.
