The staff were so kind and helpful. We had a perfect three-night stay, with a spacious, clean, attractive room looking out over the valley and mountains. Dinner came as a delicious three-course menu, and breakfast offered plenty of choices and very good coffee. Amazing hotel!

The place itself is nice, and so are the cafes, but the atmosphere was genuinely disturbing. I came by with friends several times over the course of a week, and each visit we were shocked by how the owners treated the employees. We weren't the only customers to notice; many others seemed just as taken aback. Such a shame. Future waiters, run away!

The veal dinner was okay, nothing special, but the boxed red wine was a real letdown. It had no flavor and was much too warm, around 26 Celsius. Staff said Italians like it that way and don't drink cold wine. We prefer ours at 18-20 Celsius, like most Europeans. At least they brought us some ice cubes. It left us thinking the staff don't care much about their customers. Never again.

We came in for lunch after descending from Gran Paradiso. Nobody greeted us or explained how the self-service worked, and no menu was offered. We ended up with two coffees and a tiny piece of industrial-quality cake for 7 euro, far too much for below-average food. When we asked for the Wi-Fi password, the waiter apparently checked with the owner and came back with only “non puo.” No apology, nothing. It was very rude. The owner seems determined to ruin the business, and I can't understand why.

We came back three times because there isn't another restaurant nearby, but I can't recommend this place. The food is basic, which by itself would be fine, yet the staff aren't very friendly and extra things keep appearing on the bill. We asked for “verdura del giorno” at 4 €, and were told it meant zucchini and potatoes. What arrived was vegetables with polenta for 10 €. Suddenly nobody understood English. On top of that, there's always a 10% tip already included. Better bring your own pasta.
