B&B Castiglia

Giuseppe welcomed us warmly and gave us useful practical tips straight away. He was discreet but always available, took care of our needs, and even lent us a beach umbrella on one of Palermo's rare rainy days. When we had a small issue with the drainage, he fixed it promptly. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet despite the traffic below. The place is near the central station and only minutes from the city center, with a supermarket, pharmacy, bars and takeaways nearby. A great base for seeing Palermo on foot or by public transport without renting a car. We highly recommend it.

Whenever I visit Palermo, I stay at this B&B Castglia. The welcome is warm, and I always find it comfortable and clean. It's well located, close to the train station and just a few meters from Vucciria.

It's right in the city center, very close to Palermo train station. The owner was kind and affable, and gave us an impeccable welcome. The rooms are simple but have everything needed and work well. I'll definitely return.

I've spent four years in a row vacationing in Palermo, including trips to the beach at Mondello, and I've finally found a clean place with a welcoming, sensible host. Prices around here are similar, but this has been the cheapest I've paid so far: 350 euros plus 21 euros tax for 8 days. There's a Lidl just a minute away where you can get whatever you need. Cross the square to reach famous Via Marqueda, with Indian food and other options. Today I spotted kurtos kolac at a place run by Romanian-Hungarians who've settled here. From the property, head to Via Roma for the bus station, take the 101 to Politiama, then change to the 806 for Mondello. I'll add photos at the end of the vacation.
