With two little ones, ages 4 and 1, having a place that felt like home made our wedding trip to Catania, Sicily IT much easier. The backyard was lovely, there was a spa, and the kids could help themselves to the toys. The owner was one of the sweetest, kindest people I've met and had arranged everything to make us feel so welcome.

The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We found a few restaurants within a short walk, plus a supermarket about 5-7 minutes away on foot. Frasteva Resort is peaceful despite being only a two minute walk from the village center, and Stefania clearly cares about making guests feel welcome. Parking reserved for Frasteva guests is right in front of the accommodation. If you'd rather stay away from Catania and other busy places while still reaching the beaches and visiting eastern Sicily, I highly recommend Frasteva’s place.

We spent four wonderful nights here. The resort felt peaceful, with lovely gardens, flowers, birds, and plenty of spots to sit and unwind. Our room was huge, spotless, comfortable, and had FANTASTIC views of Etna and the ocean. Each room has its own alfresco area, and being able to use the washing macine was great.

Our big balcony was a highlight, and the resort is well placed for Catania, Taormina and Siarcuse. The whole place is gorgeous, charming, well kept, and everything felt clean and beautiful. We were traveling with a huge van that wouldn't fit in the resort parking, so Stefania let us leave it at her private home. She also shared lots of useful trip information and went out of her way to help when we had problems. After we got a parking ticket for leaving our rental car illegally, she even called the police for us. We've traveled a lot, and the service here was among the best we've had. Staying at Frasteva resort was the best choice for our Sicily trip. We were so glad we came, and hope to return ❤️
