Hotel Coccodrillo

The hotel’s setting felt cozy, and our clean, comfortable room made it easy to relax. We spent three wonderful nights at Hotel Residence Coccodrillo in Varazze and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious each morning before we headed out to explore the Ligurian coast. The beach and town centre were a short walk away, while the hotel itself was quiet. We liked coming back in the evenings to relax by the pool or have a drink on the terrace. 🏖️

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is good for a 3-star place, although it’s next to a train station. You can’t hear the trains at night. Breakfast was ordinary, but very nice, and the reception, breakfast, and housekeeping staff were all lovely. I’d recommend staying here when visiting varraze.

We arrived late in the evening and the staff still welcomed us so warmly. Even when the language barrier came up, they made us feel at home, almost like family had come to visit. The man who checked us in felt like a distant uncle: he didn’t understand a word we said, but made sure we parked in the right spot, were happy, and had everything we needed. He even left us with a few jokes in Italian. The parking isn’t on the hotel grounds, but it’s close and very secure. Thank you for everything. I hope I can come back someday.

The beach is just a five-minute walk away, and the pool has a lifeguard, so it’s a nice spot for kids too. Our room was pretty and cozy, and the balcony looked out over the pool and little garden. Breakfast was good, with gluten-free food and vegan milk options available without any problem.
