El Chico Varazze

The setting is a lovely green oasis with a beautiful sea view, just off the highway and close to Varazze. The staff were very friendly, and the place was clean. The rooms, though, felt dated and a little cramped. Breakfast was a real letdown, especially at €10. I’d pictured having an espresso under the pretty pergola, but instead there were self-serve machines for cappuccino, latte, and tea, and the drinks were lukewarm. They tasted like something from an office or supermarket dispenser, which felt sad for a 4-star hotel. The rest of breakfast wasn’t much better, a shame with such a beautiful view. We’ll come back, but I hope they take this criticism seriously by then. Otherwise, we’ll get breakfast at a bar.

We had a lovely stay. The garden and pool are beautiful, with a great view of the sea, and breakfast on the terrace each morning was a treat, with a generous buffet surrounded by Mediterranean greenery. The room was a little bare but still cozy and perfectly fine. Parking was plentiful, indoors and outdoors, and the property was easy to reach. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Highly recommended!

I mostly come here for meetings. The meeting rooms are comfortable, and the lunch and coffee breaks suit the venue. The hotel sits in a beautiful spot, with a garden and pool right on one of Liguria’s loveliest cliffs.

The view is beautiful, and the restaurant service was excellent. Everything was spotless, and the staff and owners were very kind and helpful. The rooms and bathroom are on the small side, but I’d gladly return.
