Hotel Le Palme

The room was old and the soundproofing wasn't great, since we could hear the baby in the room next door crying all night. Still, for what we paid, it felt fair, and the stay was pleasant. We got an earlier check-in, liked the garden, and thought the hotel looked very authentic from the outside. It was the cheapest option in the whole zone and good value. We arrived Saturday around 12pm and spent about 30 minutes driving around looking for parking, since the hotel had none available.

The rooms were clean, and from the fourth floor you might catch a glimpse of the sea. The beach is only minutes away, with a convenience store close by, and we found free parking near the hotel entrance quite easily in the off-season. That covered what we came for. Still, this no-frills place left me with little to remember. There are no extras, the old door-key setup makes keys easy for anyone entering to access, and the building facade looks neglected. The coffee seemed to use cheap beans, the breakfast croissants were mislabeled, and the meats were low quality, so we ate breakfast elsewhere. It looks professional as a conference center.

The garden is lovely, the location is nice, and the people and service were very friendly. Breakfast in the morning was good too. The room, though, wasn't for me: it was too dark, the electric lighting was dim, and the mattresses felt old and uncomfortable. I barely slept, maybe a couple of hours.

The hotel is central and clean, but the service is very minimal. I only tried the breakfast once.
