This lovely 19th-century hotel is right by Lake Como in Veranna, about 900 metres from the train station. It has a colonial feel. We were traveling light with two carry-on bags, but they still insisted the concierge bring them up. The rooms and toilets were clean and well kept. The downstairs bar is a hidden gem with a very good selection. Andrea patiently helped us choose whisky and gin, and the drinks came with very nice aperitifs. There’s also a restaurant attached, which is a good option if you’re eating late, past 7 pm. The staff are friendly. I’d definitely stay here in Veranna.

The outside bar and the balcony both have breathtaking views, and the location is very convenient. Breakfast was beyond impressive, with the biggest selection of the four hotels we stayed at in Italy. The breakfast area was unbelievably clean and the service phenomenal. From the start, we loved the place. The lobby is beautiful, the staff welcoming, accommodating, and professional, and they quickly took all our bags to our room. It was very clean when we checked in, and room service kept it meticulous. Of the four four-star hotels we stayed in, this one was easily the best. We’ll definitely return, and I’d recommend booking if you’re on the fence.

The hotel is gorgeous and the views are amazing. It’s about a ten-minute walk from the train station and five minutes from the ferry. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the two young women at the concierge desk were a great help.

It’s a great hotel in a perfect spot, right by lovers walk, villa cipresi, good food options, and the ferry. The train station is a ten-minute walk away, or you can use their complimentary shuttle. Rooms were modern and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were kind and extremely helpful. I’d stay again!

A lovely historic hotel right in the heart of Varenna. The property is well maintained, the staff are really nice, and there’s a nice breakfast in the morning. The view of the lake is great too.
