Michelangelo made our first Lake Como visit especially memorable. He picked us up and dropped us at the train station, booked tables at his favorite restaurants, suggested takeaway dinner on the rooftop patio, and shared ideas for things to do nearby. Each morning he made a delicious, huge breakfast to suit our preferences, with local baked goods, fresh fruit, an omelette, and coffee or tea. When we had an early excursion, he even packed breakfast for us to take along. He’s a local who cares about his community and wants guests to have a great stay. The B&B has just four rooms, small but comfortable, and everyone can use the rooftop patio, where the views are stunning. The location in Varenna is excellent, a short walk from the station, ferries, restaurants, and waterfront. It was noticeably quieter than Bellagio, especially in the morning and evening after the day visitors had left. We booked after reading the positive reviews, and I’m glad to say they were true. Staying at Michelangelo B&B was a highlight of our Italy trip. We’d definitely return and highly recommend it.

We’ve had few weekend stays as amazing as this one. Our host offered to pick us up from the train station, which was absolute chaos on the Labor Day holiday. At the B&B, we chose our breakfast and were then shown to our room. We picked one with a lake view, and the rooftop terrace has what must be the best views in town. There was plenty of food and good coffee at breakfast, and we enjoyed lots of lovely chats with Michelangelo, the owner. I’d absolutely recommend staying here as a base for exploring the Lake area.

The views here are one of a kind. I can’t imagine finding another like them anywhere else on Lake Como. The rooftop was breathtaking and felt exclusive, while our room also looked out over the lake and mountains. Breakfast was a feast. Michelangelo, the host, is kind, funny, and passionate, and he really made our stay memorable. My friend and I would both recommend this place to anyone.

The balcony view was incredible, and the owner, Michealangelo, made us a delicious breakfast. He was so friendly and even sorted out dinner reservations and drove us to the train. The place is near Varenna's main sights, about a 10-minute walk from the station.
