I went in early July and found it a great escape from the crowds. It's up in the mountains, about 40 minutes from Sestri Levante, and there are good hiking opportunities nearby. The host was absolutely wonderful. Going by car is best.

A nice spot if you want quiet countryside in Italy. Salino is a little, old village that feels like the real Italy.

The hospitality here is sincere and deeply human, and the home-cooked dinners are excellent. You sleep wonderfully, take in the nature, and get some time and your senses back. Guests who happen upon the place feel lucky and privileged.
