Bellavista BB

Good service.

The balcony was a plus, with a lovely view of the sea and countryside. The B&B is about a 10-minute drive from Vasto center. But the rooms aren't soundproof, so we heard everything, including the family on duty with a child waking us at 7:30. We have a dog who behaved well, but they didn't keep even a little quiet. There were a few things that needed attention: the hair dryer didn't work, the shower head wouldn't stay in place, the towels had a strange smell rather than smelling of soap, and there was no bidet. The croissant at breakfast was good, and the woman serving breakfast was very kind and clearly cared about her work. The receipt had no revenue stamp, and the tourist tax was deducted. My rating is also because they asked for a photo of my ID, which makes me very anxious. I really don't think it's legal to request a photo of an ID. They could at least have asked me to cover my face, so it couldn't be used for other purposes. If they don't come in person to check who I am, that's their problem, not mine. There were security cameras everywhere.

The woman who welcomed us at breakfast the next morning was so kind and made us feel at home. We only stayed one night, but the property was beautiful and very clean. The location was just right, a few kilometers from both the center and the sea. We'll be back.

It's a good spot for a few days if you're travelling by car, especially if you want somewhere away from the bustle. The historic center of Vasto is a 30-minute walk, and Vasto Marina is much farther. We had the attic room. It was clean, and thankfully had air conditioning, though the shower was a bit awkward. The woman handling cleaning and breakfast was hospitable, kind, and friendly.
