The balcony is a nice touch, and the view from it is lovely. The place feels cool, the rooms are good, and the ambiance is nice.

Waking up to that view was a treat, and the included breakfasts were exceptional. We visited at the end of the season, so the staff had lots of time for us. The chef even let us spend a night in the kitchen while he showed us how to make traditional Italian meals. When my friend got sick on our last day, they shared some medicine they had on hand and helped put together a tray to take to him. They also gave us plenty of good ideas for things to do in the area. One of the best hotel stays I've had.

Dinner was the highlight. The chef came out to explain the options in detail, then asked everyone what they wanted. He was charming, and we loved the three-course meal he made. Most of the staff didn't speak English, though we managed to communicate somehow. The beds weren't the best, but I guess the price was fair for that.

The tiramisu he makes is gorgeous, really light and delicious. Danielle was exceptional with guests, way beyond five-star treatment. He shared tips about the area, and when he noticed I had no equipment for cycling around with even basic safety, he provided everything without hesitation. Absolutely amazing, loved it!
