Masseria Zanzara

We booked at the last minute after a change in the COVID rules forced us to fly somewhere else for our holiday, and we were glad we did. The location is handy for some beautiful beaches, though they get quite busy in the first week of August. Our room was in the old part of the Masseria, which had a lovely rustic feel. There are newer buildings too, and the pool area is beautiful, with an outdoor bubble bath. Service was great throughout. The staff were always kind and ready to help. We ate at the restaurant and had the à la carte menu, since the pizzeria was closed that day. It offered a mix of seafood and local dishes, all very well prepared and presented, with excellent quality. Breakfast was very good too, with fresh fruit and lots of local homemade pastries, including pasticciotto. There was a smaller choice of ham and cheese, and some more local options or egg dishes would have made it even better. We'd definitely stay again if we come back to this part of Salento.

A lovely place to unwind, and it doesn't feel too touristy. The staff are really helpful and the spaces are clean. The restaurant menu could use some improvement.

The staff were wonderful and helpful, and everything was very clean and beautiful. The WiFi in the rooms was poor, though.

A lovely spot, close to a beautiful beach. We'd recommend Playa Blanca and Playa Pinnetta.
