Breakfast was the highlight for us. Margaret spoiled us with homemade plum cake, fresh bread, moka coffee, yogurt, cheeses, cured meats, jam, and milk from their cows. So much choice, 10 more more more for breakfast! We also loved the warm welcome, spotless rooms, typical South Tyrolean furnishings, comfy beds, pillows and duvets, and the private parking. Our children, aged 7 and 5, were thrilled to meet the cows and bunnies in the barn beside the three-apartment farm. We stayed three nights with our border collie. The road is open to everyone, though it gets narrow in places; it always has guard rails, which my wife appreciated because she often worries on mountain roads without much protection. Bressanone is about an 18-minute drive, and the first main amenities are a couple of kilometers downhill. The location may not be the strongest point for access to amenities, but the quiet, views, peace, and very reasonable price more than made up for that small inconvenience.
