Residence La Pera Bugiarda

The rooms look onto an inner courtyard, so street noise wasn’t an issue, and they were clean and quite nice. The location is fantastic for visiting the nearby palaces, just 30 meters away, and the price is great. There’s parking in the courtyard too, though the pedestrian zone makes arriving by car intimidating and difficult. The access is narrow, so it’s best suited to confident drivers with smaller cars. WiFi was pretty weak in some rooms. If you do drive, the parking entrance is on the very narrow street on the left just BEFORE the restaurant “Passami Il Salle”.

The location near Venaria Reale was very good, but the rest left a lot to be desired. We booked three rooms for two nights, each with a tiny 17/20 inch LCD TV that looked about 20 years old and was barely usable. One TV was broken; we asked for a working replacement, but the problem was never fixed. We’d also reserved parking, but once there we couldn’t really use it because there was too little space to get the car in. Avoid that lot unless you want to pay just to line up your car. The residence owner also owns the Passami il Sale tavern. We went to the year-end dinner, paid, and were then made to leave through the kitchen, as if they were ashamed of us. A strange way to treat customers.

I spent over two weeks at La Pera Bugiarda. The service was friendly, breakfast was excellent, and the location was very convenient. My room faced Venaria Reale and was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The room was bright and spacious, and the staff were very friendly. It’s in a perfect spot right in the heart of Venaria.
