I strongly recommend against staying at this hotel. The owners threw away our things, including a phone charger, two toothbrushes, two sunscreens, a deodorant, two bottles of water, and most seriously, a whole bag of medication I need to survive. Some other essentials were missing, things had been moved and slightly damaged, and the door was left open after the cleaning service. When we spoke with the owner, he acted reasonable and professional, gave us two bottles of water, and promised to compensate us for the items. We have a video of that conversation as proof, and he even shook my hand. But once we checked out, he stopped responding. I tried to contact him repeatedly with no answer. Thank God we hadn't left any valuables in the room.

The hotel is real and you can check in. The owners seemed nice at first, and the room was nothing special but fine for a short stay. Then my husband and I paid the tourism tax, and the owner saw that I had some money in my wallet. Maybe an hour later, we think he believed we'd left the room, we heard someone trying to unlock our door. They couldn't get in because our keys locked it from the inside, and when the person realized that, they simply left without knocking. Even when we first arrived, the owner went into another room, looked at other guests' open suitcases, and left. After that, we had a bad feeling and didn't leave anything in the room, including our valuables.

This is a fraud, don't book here. We reserved three nights at Residence Villa Rendina through hotels.com, but when we arrived, we were told the place no longer existed. The phone numbers were inactive, and we couldn't reach the owner. We had already paid and couldn't get our money back, so we had to book somewhere else. The same building now operates as Villa Ricordi, but I wouldn't recommend booking there either, because it seems like a fraud too. When we spoke with the current owner, the information was unclear and seemed suspicious. You'll only lose your money.

I arrived with 20 minutes left before check-in was supposed to close, but the hotel was empty. The owner told me by phone that it was actually closed and had been listed as open on booking.com by mistake. After I contacted booking.com, once the check-in window had passed, the owner changed the explanation and said I had arrived too late. I never got my money back and had to book another hotel. Be careful, this felt fraudulent.
