Camping Serenissima

The team really helped us out when a transit strike left us a bit stranded. They let us stay two extra days and made sure we didn’t have to move cabins. They were so friendly and helpful throughout. Getting to Venice is simple: one public bus stops right outside the campground gate, and you can buy tickets at the office. The cabins are basic and sparsely furnished, but comfortable. After four other stays in the EU, these were the best bed and pillows we’d had. The window screens need fixing, though, so mosquitoes can’t get in. There were loads of them, but it’s the countryside, so that’s expected. Long trousers or insect spray make them easier to bear. The site is clean and well kept. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned regularly, there’s always hot water, and they’re a two-minute walk or less from anywhere in the campground. The outdoor shared kitchen is handy and has a decent supply of pots, pans, and utensils. It lacks proper towels and cleaning cloths, so bring your own. Depending on the season, be ready to share dinner with mosquitoes. The restaurant is good, though a bit pricey, about what you’d pay for dinner on a canal-side patio in Venice. It’s convenient for guests, and the nearby town has plenty more food and shopping options a short walk away.

The campsite was full, but it was quiet at night, and the pool was nice. Toilets were just okay and could have been cleaner, and we thought it was a bit expensive. Still, it worked well for the location and the friendly staff. We spent one night in our camper. It’s quite close to Venice by bus, which was convenient, and the staff were really friendly.

It’s a handy spot for getting to Venice quickly, and the price is very decent. The staff were friendly and the pool was fun. I’m giving it only three stars because the bathrooms were really dirty. We mentioned it to the staff and things improved a little, but they were still dirty.

The campsite bar’s pizza was surprisingly good, and the staff were very friendly. Check-in was super flexible, and the facilities, while not especially modern, were clean overall. The location is PERFECT! There’s a bus stop literally one minute away, with a direct bus to Venice.
