Thin walls meant I could hear the neighbors, which made it hard to rest. The room also wasn't properly cleaned: there was a cockroach, the bathroom smelled bad, and the mirror, walls, and doors were dirty. The bed covers had stains, the towels didn't feel fresh, there was no bin in the room, only in the bathroom, and the shampoo holder was broken. The host's response was the worst part. Instead of dealing with the problems, they accused me of lying. I got a refund from Airbnb, and nobody had even asked during my stay whether there were any issues. I'm attaching photos to show that this really happened. A good host listens to real guest feedback and improves, rather than dismissing it.

The receptionists were very friendly. They explained trips around Venice and how to stay safe in the city, and guests can use the hotel's private parking for a reasonable daily fee. Room 101 was comfortable, but the owners need to improve several things. There were green mold patches under the windows, which can't be good for guests' health. There was no daily housekeeping or fresh towels, and the mini fridge wasn't cold enough and smelled like old food, perhaps because previous guests had left food inside instead of bottled drinks. The third-floor kitchen fridge was dirty and should be cleaned daily for food hygiene and to prevent bacteria. The bathroom had no shelves for toiletries, so we had to put shampoo and shower gel on the floor. There were also no hooks for wet or dry towels or clothes, and the wall-mounted toilet flush button was broken. The TV controller didn't work properly either. Please fix these things so more guests will want to come back.

The receptionist was very kind and let us check in early, although the room was still being cleaned and we had to come back later. They also let us check out a bit late. The arrival and departure were quick and seamless. The room could use a bedside lamp, and sound carried through the walls.

The price was low, and the place is within walking distance of the bus and train stations, but I wouldn't choose to stay here again. We had a room with a shared bathroom. The toilet seat was about to fall off and the shower wouldn't drain. The TV didn't work on the first night, though they repaired it.
