Hotel Villa Serena

The owner is really nice, and the location near the station and shops is great. The rooms have a beautiful vintage look. There’s a mini fridge, but no kettle, mugs, or anything else. The bathroom is mouldy and has no shower curtain, so the floor gets very wet. They switch off the aircon for a few hours each day, I guess when they assume everyone’s out visiting Venice. The cleaning lady unlocked and opened the door without knocking while I was half naked, then just left without saying sorry. I thought that was a little odd.

The room and hotel felt like stepping into a beauty and the beast film set ❤️😍. There’s free, very safe parking, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The manager patiently explained how to get around and reach the city, and showed us places to visit. The bus to Venice takes 10-15 minutes and stops almost right in front of the hotel. There are a few bus options, but we preferred the 53E. Thanks!

We used self check-in, and the room was really nice. There was also a pleasant shared balcony. The train station is within walking distance, though if you’re heading to Venice you’ll be doing a lot of walking anyway. Actually, everything was great.

The next bus stop for Venice island is only a few meters away, so it’s a great place to start exploring Venice. Villa Serena has a charming, authentic feel, with clean rooms and romantic decor. The staff were great and very helpful. Because of the building’s origin and structure, the walls are thinner than usual ;) Thanks for a pleasant stay.
