On a clean, sunny day, the lagoon-facing seats are hard to beat, though sitting there comes with a five euro cover charge. I stopped in for lunch. The frittura mista was disappointing for the price of 22 euros, with mostly little squid and just a few prawns, so there wasn’t much variety. Adding a glass of wine, dessert, and coffee brought my bill to 42 euros.

The waterside restaurant has a perfect view, and the food is good. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, and you can hire bikes that are great for getting around the island. We had lunch and stayed overnight. Our ground floor room was a little noisy, just off the bar, with windows facing the street and restaurant, but they don’t stay open late, so it was okay. Breakfast is continental, and the location is lovely.

This family-run place has excellent service and serves honest, very fresh food with a distinctive touch that makes it better and different from other restaurants on the island. The setting is enchanting, especially for dinner by the water as the sun sets. A must when visiting Pellestrina.

A seafood hidden gem on Pallestrina Island. Simply the best. Try the fresh ouster’s or the mixed seafood starter. The Vino and Prosecco are great too. 🦞🍷🍾
