To Be Happy in Venice

The apartment is warm and cozy, with heating and air-conditioning, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and the other equipment we needed. There’s a bedroom for three and a kitchen sofa that sleeps two, so there’s room for up to five people and one car. The reserved parking is behind a gate, and check-in is self-service, so you can arrive whenever you like. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, just a few steps from a shop that opens at 8:15 and from the main train station. A couple of things to know: the bathroom is narrow and the kitchen table is small, so it may not suit anyone 2m or taller. The gas water heater takes a little while to warm up, and getting the temperature right takes patience. For visiting Venice island(s), the train costs 1.5 Eur per person. A 24-hour tourist ticket for the "vaporetto" boats is 25 Eur per person and gives unlimited rides on ACTV boat lines with numbers, not characters.
