Venice Sanella Rooms

Being so close to Mestre station made getting around easy. The room was roomy, with both a fan and AC, and the kitchen and bathroom were kept in good shape. The management was lovely, too. We missed check-in, but after we called, the manager let us in and arranged for us to check in the following evening. She even went out of her way to print our boarding passes for the flight home. For a small group trying to save money and not looking for a super-luxury stay, I’d happily recommend it.

The location is hard to beat, just 200 meters from the main train and bus station in VE-Mestre. Transport to Venice comes every 5 minutes, which made this a great base for our vacation. The hosts were polite and lovely, and the rooms were clean and well equipped. Shops, markets, and public services are all nearby. Our family sends a big thank you, and we give the place our strongest recommendation!

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, and everyone on the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, especially the women at reception. It’s an easy walk to Mestre train station, with a 7-minute trip from there to Venice. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The one plus was being about 500 metres from the train station. Beyond that, our two-day stay was awful. The room was so cramped that two people couldn’t pass each other, and there was no private bathroom. The shared one was always smelly, dirty, and messy, with blocked drains in both the basin and shower. People walked past the rooms in the middle of the night and made a lot of noise. The neighborhood was loud too, with people hanging out on the balcony, so we had to keep the curtains drawn. The sheets weren’t properly clean, and there was lint and dust all over the floor. For what the property actually offers, it’s expensive and should cost much less.
