Venice Tour

The apartment was unpleasant, especially for the price. It smelled awful, like used cat litter, and the bedding was stained. The bathroom was grotty, the door had water damage, and the whole place seemed unclean. It was cold at night, the central heating barely helped, and the neighbours were incredibly noisy in the early hours. The man at reception was nice, and the bus stop for Venice island was only a short walk away. Still, it wasn’t a pleasant stay.

A good option for two or three days in Venice if you don’t want to spend all your money on expensive hotels there. Bus stations nearby get you into Venice quickly. The service was great. The receptionist was patient, friendly, available and responsive. The rooms are a bit narrow, and the soundproofing isn’t very good, but I’d recommend the hotel.

We wouldn’t recommend staying here. Our room smelled musty from a large mold spot outside the bathroom. Reception was happy to move us, but we had to pay an extra €50 for a room without mold. The sheets smelled of body odor too, possibly because the room wasn’t ready after the last-minute change. The one thing in its favor was being close to a main bus stop for Venice. I hope they do better in future.

We picked this place because it was near the train station, which made getting around easier, but we were disappointed. The toilet button was broken and we heard running water all night. The bed covers weren’t clean, one headboard was broken, and the pedal bin was broken too. There was no heating and we froze at night, though the shower worked. The area wasn’t good. We only stayed because the train connection to Venice was convenient, and I wouldn’t stay here again.
