At Venice Vacation House on Via Pogdora 24 in Mestre, Venice, we spent the night shivering because there was no heating. We tried using the air conditioning to warm the room, but it did no good, and we couldn’t sleep. It was miserable and exhausting. The place smelled foul as soon as we walked in, and the room was filthy and unhygienic. The blanket was stained, and the yellowed pillows looked as if they hadn’t been washed in ages. I’m shocked a place in that condition is listed anywhere. I felt my trust had been completely betrayed, and strongly advise others to avoid it.

The place was nice and clean. If you book through Airbnb, be aware that the phone number they give you doesn’t work. Look it up on Google and it’ll be fine.

I was there yesterday for my boyfriend’s birthday. Good location, friendly staff, and the room was big and clean. I’d recommend this place, you’ll be happy. Five stars.

They didn’t honor my room reservation, even though it had been paid for and confirmed by phone. The business seemed disorganized.
