The property itself is still beautiful, with wonderful architecture and a strong sense of history. You can tell the owner cares about keeping its character intact, which is why this was our third visit, and our honeymoon. The bartender was a real bright spot, friendly and professional. But the service at reception and the management still don't live up to the place. We got just 20% off a paid spa treatment, no room upgrade, and had to keep chasing the welcome drinks we were promised, eventually proving we hadn't received them. Our room had a poorly working air conditioner and toilet. We reported both problems more than three times, but there was little urgency or care. It seemed the team already knew about the issues and hoped we'd put up with them. We weren't moved until our last night. We also kept choosing breakfast and dinner in town because the restaurant doesn't match the hotel's quality or potential. There's so much potential here, and better management, guest service, and food could make it an exceptional hotel. I hope the owners invest in that side of things, because the property deserves better.

The indoor pool is gorgeous, and there's a great bar too. I first stayed here 45 years ago, and it hasn't really changed. It's grand and comfortable, right on the lake with no roads to cross. I'll be back.

I was here for a long weekend while attending a nearby wedding. The setting is stunning, the architecture is beautiful, and the place was clean. The food was amazing, and that view is something else. The air conditioning didn't cool the rooms enough, and breakfast coffee was weak. At check-in, five people were behind the desk and nobody else was waiting, but no one offered to help with our very large suitcases, even though the elevator is right beside reception. That was unacceptable. The fake flowers at the entrance and in the lobby were a big miss. Four stars.

We were staying nearby, but the location and the cocktails kept bringing us back to the bar and terrace. Blendi Vogli makes truly special drinks with real skill, and is a real gentleman.

The bar staff really made our honeymoon stay special. They looked after us so well and made us feel welcome. My first dirty martini was here, and it was delicious. I felt like James Bond all week! The view is incredible, and it's a short walk to a lovely little town with great restaurants and cafes. You can catch a ferry from there to other towns around the lake for a very low price. The hotel, staff, and food were all perfect. We had an amazing time.
