Residence Isolino

The rooms were up to date and the facilities were clean, with washing and dry cleaning available. It's a great apartment complex, with private parking and access to all the facilities at the famous camping villages in Verbania.

If you're just trying to chill by the pool, the rules are basically the Geneva Convention. No war crimes, aight?

Absolutely beautiful!

The apartment was a little cramped for four, though it would suit two or three better. We had booked midweek at Camping Isolino, but when we called without a reservation there was no space; we were offered a place at the residence instead, a couple of minutes away. There’s plenty of private parking. Our two-room unit had a double and single bed in the bedroom, plus a sofa bed in the living and kitchen area. My 14-year-old son used the sofa bed and said he barely slept because he could feel the springs. The temperature control seemed to do very little, or may have been set at its lowest, so the cooling was hardly noticeable. At night this was especially frustrating, and we could clearly hear the new installations. The bathroom had a damp, unpleasant smell, and the shower drain backed up quickly, leaving us standing in water. We told reception at the campsite the following day, and they had repaired it by then. The shower was more usable after that, though the musty smell remained. Cleanliness could be improved. There was dust in corners, beneath the beds and on top of cupboards, along with marks on doors. The same applied to shared spaces, including the hall, stairs, showers and toilets. We skipped the pool because the children preferred the pools at the Isolino and Continental campsites. I’d rate the stay 7/10.
